Mt Rushmore & Keystone

Finally here!  After 1,100 miles driving through 5 states, and at exactly 48 hours, we are at Mount Rushmore.   We are all so excited and in awe.  We all agree it was worth all the driving.  We spent about four hours seeing everything including the evening lighting ceremony.  

 

 

We thought of proposing an additional portrait:

 

The boys really want to return while we are touring around.  I think it would be really cool to make sure our driving route passes it daily.  It is awesome to see!

We are staying in an older lodge property.  Family-owned and away from the crowds.  Just a five minute drive from Mt Rushmore and tucked away in the pine trees.  We have our own cabin, and the only children I can hear are my own.  :)
