DC Trip - Day #3

A cloudy, cool day provided the perfect weather for walking the monuments.  We visit the FDR, the MLK, the Lincoln, the Vietnam, the WWII, and the Washington monuments on a very cool, breezy stroll.  It was a treat!

We were all impressed with the MLK Memorial.  I had not seen pictures that showed his image emerging from the "mountain".  Beautiful memorial!

The boys both loved the Lincoln Memorial.  They sat on the steps for quite some time soaking up the view.

Pointing out my Uncle Captain P. Dennis Barger on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial.

There's D and P in the same spot in March 2003 before we moved away.

The WWII Memorial was built after we left DC.  P and I were both amazed at its beauty!
