Grand Canyon - Arrival and Snowstorm Shock

We were amazed at the Grand Canyon in the snow!  We stayed at the El Tovar Hotel directly on the South Rim. So thankful.  Maneuvering around the park was a challenge in the snow.  So happy to be just a few steps away.

The Grand Canyon is celebrating its Centennial Year in 2019!  Happy Birthday GC!

Henry was totally unimpressed until we started a family snowball fight.  Look at that smile - finally little boy happiness!  He loved throwing snowballs over the canyon edge.

So grateful for the store with Grand Canyon playing cards and a warm cocktail lounge.  Family Crazy 8 game with a fabulous view!

Count your blessings moment ... We started 12 months in advance for reservations at the El Tovar.  We never managed securing a suite and settled for two very small single rooms.   Henry was delighted!  He quickly discovered his small room was near the front desk and had a WiFi signal in the bathtub.  Lots of dry bath time for him!
