We attended the Winston School High School Solar Car Race Kickoff at TMS early this morning. About 15 solar-powered cars built and driven by high school students from around the country were included in the race.
At the starting line. The boys in attendance were given green flags to wave as each car started. The solar-powered cars are traveling to Colorado from Texas -- very impressive feat especially for high school teams!
Examples of the cars. There were three cars from Mississippi high school teams: two from Houston, MS, and one from Choctow, MS. One of the cars from Houston, MS included an all-girls team.
Will D and H be driving solar-powered cars when they are in high school??!!
