First Day - Texas and Route 66

First stop on the road: Aurora, TX to see the cemetery where the 1897 space alien is buried.  👽 🚀 Fun story I found on my Roadtrippers app.  

We were driving through Wichita Falls when Dennis asked to stop and see the World's Littlest Skyscraper.    He remembered it from a Daytripper.   Dennis was so happy.  😍😍

We drove way out of the way to hit Route 66.  Old Conoco station in Shamrock, TX on 66.   This Conoco station was the inspiration for Ramones body shop in Cars movies. 

Tesla charging station beside it.  Kinda funny 

On highway outside Amarillo.   P  looking at transmission lines his company built.  P met with communities all over the area to make the transmission lines happen.   Windmills everywhere.  

Last stop: Slug Bug Ranch

Finally, drinks downtown Amarillo.   Love the glasses.
