Road Warriors!

Henry is quickly accepting the "joy" of road tripping with his Mom.  Unscheduled stops, stopping for historical markers, asking him to search up and read the history of a town or historical site.  

We made an unscheduled exit off the highway for Petroglyph National Monument!   It was a quick stop but an insight into the ancient native culture.  

We headed north on state highway 89 from Flagstaff to the North Rim.  The landscape changes drastically from the Flagstaff forest, to the Navaho desert, to sand.  It felt like a really long drive!  We were so thankful to finally head over Marble Canyon and see the Vermillion Cliffs. 

It was amazing to go from the desert terrain to the Kaibab Forest.  What a change.
