Mounthaven at Mount Rainier

We were so fortunate to find a campground with both RV spaces and cabins to rent.  The campground, Mounthaven, was just outside the entrance to Mount Rainier.  It was absolutely perfect for us.  Our family had our own cabin, and the boys could run back and forth to GJ and Annie's RV.  The campground had a playground and was surrounded by trails.  We had such a relaxing time playing around the campground and at the RV.

Here is Mounthaven.  Dad is standing in front of GJ & Annie's RV and car.  Look at those tall trees!!  The tree to Dad's left dates from before Columbus discovered America.

On the playground.  The playground was a wonderful place to play in the mornings and late afternoons.  The boys played football and baseball in the open space, too.

I have to add that the playground was next to the building with the campground WiFi hot spot.  Every morning one of us had to escort H out there with his IPad so he could check his baseball scores.  We would usually meet other WiFi users while seated on that playground wooden bench.

A wonderful walking path with lovely landscaping.

The clearing before a hiking trail.  Look at those trees!!

On our hike ...

The campground owners fed the deer.  It was easy to almost bump into them while walking from our cabin to the RV.

Getting breakfast in the RV every morning.  D slept in the RV every night at Mounthaven.  He loved it.

Lots of fun and games.  GJ & Annie also served us some wonderful dinners.

H was very good at campground and fireside chats, of course.
