The boys and I made it home!  The trip odometer logged 3,780 miles on the two-week trip.  Whoosh!

9 US states

4 National Parks

3 National Monuments

2 State Capitals

6 National Forests and Grasslands

1 State Park (SD)

We also played a game where we looked for a car license plate for every US state during our trip. We are happy to report that as of yesterday we logged at least one license plate from every US state, Washington DC, and several Canadian provinces!  We even saw the plates for Hawaii and Alaska for the first time on the same day when we visited Badlands Natl Park.  

We are done!

This has been the summer of road trips!  In June we drove to Mississippi for our niece's graduation and then to Rosemary Beach, Florida for a beach trip.  

So add another 1,600 miles and 4 more US states to our total!   We are nuts but loving the family road trip experience.
