We are headed to Theodore Roosevelt National Park today. It is the location of his famous Elkhorn Ranch where he spent time alone healing after the loss of his mom and wife before he became President. We are on a sort of Roosevelt "pilgrimmage" on this trip as many of the parks and monuments we are visiting were established by President Roosevelt.
I was doing some research this morning and discovered that "Theodore Roosevelt National Park" is on the New York Times' list of the 52 Best Places in the World to Visit in 2016. The park is #5!! It is behind Mexico City, Bordeaux France, Malta, and Coral Bay St. John. What a surprise! We had no idea we were so hip. We will let you know about it. :)
