Such a big day -- worthy of two posts!
We started our day toward Saluda, NC with an impromptu visit to Pearson Falls. I read about the nature preserve only the previous evening while researching things to do in Saluda.

What a surprise retreat and gift to visit Pearson Falls! We enjoyed a picnic (at H's suggestion) at the foot of the falls.
The landscape reminded me so much of imaginary movie sets. I was thinking of the movie the "BFG" and the Hobbit series. This rocky cliff of moss was captivating. We were looking for fairies!
What a great start to our day!
